Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. St. Louis Residents Directory does not retain a separate copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only what the sender includes, and it is used to answer that message.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting services may create ordinary logs, including IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review this data in aggregate to maintain the reference and understand general use. Cookies or similar technology can support essential analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use technical data to operate the reference, diagnose problems, measure general traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links lead to City and state record portals, court systems, library collections, archives, and outside search tools. The receiving service’s privacy policy governs information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results, which are supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed only when a valid legal requirement calls for it.
How We Protect Your Data
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operating purposes described here. Since it has no user accounts, it does not hold an account password or visitor profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where a visitor lives, access, correction, or deletion rights may apply to data a website holds. Research did not identify a comprehensive Missouri consumer-privacy or data-broker deletion law. RSMo 407.1500 is a breach-notification law, not a general public-record deletion route. Because this reference keeps little data, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or available logs. Use the Contact page. City, County, and Missouri records remain under the relevant custodian’s procedures.
Updates to This Policy
Any revision will appear here. Continued use after publication of an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
